Importing Options

You can use the Xactimate integration in Albi to import estimate line items by category, final draft, or final draft with components. Albi lets you separate items by Overhead and Profit (O&P) or break them down by actions, giving you enhanced control over how estimates are organized for reporting and project needs.

The following import options are the way Albi interacts with:

Recap by Category

The “Recap by Category” feature in Albi gives you a quick overview of your Xactimate estimate, organized by types of work, such as general demolition, appliances, and drywall.

Final draft

The “Xactimate Final Draft” import option allows you to import a fully completed estimate from Xactimate into Albi. This version includes all finalized details—costs, materials, labor, and any adjustments—exactly as they appear in Xactimate.

Final draft with components

The “Xactimate Final Draft with Component Breakdown” import option lets you bring a fully completed estimate from Xactimate into Albi, with an added layer of detail. This option imports the entire estimate, including all finalized details like costs, materials, and labor, and further breaks down each line item by individual components.

When selecting the “By Final Draft” or “By Final Draft with Components” options, you have additional flexibility to:

  • Separate Items by Overhead and Profit (O + P): This option adds a new line item for overhead and profit for each line item to distinguish between overhead costs and profit margins clearly.

  • Break Down by Actions: This feature adds line items based on specific actions or tasks, providing a detailed view of the work involved.
